Making money from independent films with iTunes

I've been hanging out for more info on the latest camera releases from Nikon (rumoured to be on their way in late August). In doing that I stumbled across this guy from Art of the image on Youtube.

While the fact that an indie movie has been shot on a Canon dSLR is not news one surprising thing about this was the fact that their film was being distributed on i-tunes and making some serious money. As such this is a post raising awareness for any young (or old) independent film makers out there. Could itunes provide a suitable means of distribution for your work?

Naturally you will need to produce a quality product, outlay a bit of cash to get into the system and raise some awareness etc. etc.

  1. It isn't just independent films though, there was an episode of House shot on a canon 5DII a while ago (sorry can't remember which one) but it was very good quality.

  2. Yep. The great thing about video on dSLRs is they are making that cinematic look more affordable for film makers at all levels.

  3. I haven't seen any video using DSLRs, I would appreciate if you can provide me one. If the quality is really good, then maybe I have to purchase one :)
